tiny father
(Assistant Sound Designer)
Co-World Premiere Produced by Chautauqua Theater Company and Barrington Stage Company
Daniel is a single, uninsured freelancer accustomed to a carefree lifestyle, until a casual relationship results in a dangerously premature baby. As he is faced with the sudden responsibility of fatherhood, he befriends Caroline, a whip-smart neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse, struggling to find balance in her own life. With humor and brutal honesty, tiny father reveals both the joys and fears of parenthood.
The award-winning team of playwright Mike Lew and Tony Award-nominated director Moritz von Stuelpnagel are reunited in this world premiere production.

Responsibilities
Tiny Father was a Co-Production between Barrington Theatre Company and Chautauqua Theatre Company. As the Chautauqua sound fellow that year, I was onsite in tech and previews with Daniela Hart, the sound designer. Before tech, Daniela and I would come in at 7am, before crew calls, to have some quiet time. Then during tech most of my job consisted of taking notes, updating the to-do list, checking in with the sound team, and problem solving. One example of problem solving included how we added wireless microphones on the actors, we made sure to color match the actors. Then about 2 days later one of the notes we received was how the normal clear tape was extremely visible. Due to this, I was instructed to find a better solution that would last the whole show run and and be comfortable on the skin. I ended up locating skin tape that color matched the actors and had it ordered.
